Reminders and Updates regarding our Sample Drop Off System

Due to recent issues around the sample drop off system a few changes have been made.

Patients will no longer be able to drop off any samples without a prior clinical consultation, this could be either a pre-bookable appointment or a telephone triage call, this includes but is not limited to; Urine samples, Stool Samples/FIT tests, Sputum samples and any Swabs. This is due to the practice being unable to send any samples off without a test being requested and an attached reason for the request. To help put this into place, when required to hand in a sample please inform the reception staff before you deposit the sample at the drop off point.

It is also very important that when collecting a sample, you collect the correct pot this can be found out by asking the receptionist on the front desk if unsure.

We would also like to remind patients that we do not accept samples after 2:30pm on any day as this is when our final sample collection is.

PLEASE NOTE ANY SAMPLES THAT DO NOT FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES WILL BE DISCARDED
