Patient Signposting
Our Reception staff are trained to signpost people according to what is the problem. This is to make sure you get the right service as soon as possible. For example, people with acute chest pain may be told to go to A+E so they can get the right tests done promptly, or an Ambulance may be suggested if there are signs of a stroke. Staff can book people in directly with a Physio if needed or direct to Sexual Health services. This is the reason why they ask about symptoms, so that you can be directed to the service that is best for your complaint.
